At Southern IL. GI Specialists (SIGIS), we are deeply committed to supporting the Carbondale community. As a local healthcare provider, we not only prioritize the well-being of our patients but also extend our care beyond the clinic to help those in need. That’s why we are proud to be a key sponsor of the upcoming Coldest Night of the Year event, hosted by the Carbondale Warming Center on February 22nd, 2025.

What is the Coldest Night of the Year?
This winterrific, family-friendly walk raises both funds and awareness for individuals in our community facing homelessness, hunger, and hardship. February is one of the coldest months of the year, making it an especially difficult time for those without proper shelter or resources. By walking in the cold, participants experience a small glimpse of the challenges faced by those struggling to find warmth and food.

Why We Support This Cause
At SIGIS, we believe in the power of community care—whether it’s through quality healthcare or stepping up to support vital initiatives like this one. The Carbondale Warming Center provides essential services to those experiencing homelessness, offering a safe place to stay and resources to help people get back on their feet.

By fundraising and walking, we can bring hope and support to those who need it most. Every dollar raised will help the Warming Center continue its mission to provide warmth, shelter, and nourishment to our neighbors in need.
