Press Release: Carbondale Celebrates a Successful “Coldest Night of the Year” Fundraiser

The City of Carbondale extends heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to everyone who participated in the annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser in support of the Carbondale Warming Center.
This year’s event, themed “Change the Tune,” was nothing short of a smash hit, bringing together passionate community members, sponsors, and volunteers to raise awareness and funds for an incredibly important cause.
A special thank you goes out to our generous sponsors, whose contributions made this event possible:
Southern Illinois Healthcare, Arevon, Big Muddy Solar, SIU Credit Union, Shawnee Health, ECA Solar, SIGIS Southern IL GI Specialists, First Southern Bank, Pepsi MidAmerica, and Carbondale Community High School District 165 for graciously hosting the event.
The event was energized by live music from Peyton Blewett and Dr. Ron Johnson, whose rocking performance perfectly matched the event’s uplifting spirit.
Thanks to the collective efforts of our community, we reached over halfway toward our ambitious $100,000 goal, a testament to Carbondale’s compassion and dedication.
Donations to this year’s campaign remain open until March 31st. Supporters can still make contributions here: https://cnoy.com/location/carbondale
This event continues to remind us of the strength and kindness of our city. Thank you once again to every participant, sponsor, and volunteer for making this night warm with generosity and community spirit.
Let’s keep changing the tune — together.
